Scorpio Season: Mind-Bending Truth, Alchemy, And Prosperity - a complete breakdown of this Season

Here I am sitting in a coffee shop (when am I not sitting in a coffee shop writing a newsletter;)) having placed an order for Vietnamese iced coffee where the barista had to explain to this aged, retired coffee lover which milder options I could go for. This is happening after a very cathartic crying sesh driving to the sunset post opening up to my homeopath about my anxiety living this millennial life.
So bear with me as I write this post and still try to overcome my vulnerability scaries!I am also really hoping the coffee would truly be mild and won’t give me an anxiety hit and would just be a little fuel for this post and a treat for my taste buds craving nostalgia. (update: I couldn’t sleep much that night but it tasted SO YUM 🥰)
Welcome to Scorpio Season. '
Mystical. Mysterious. Secretive. Alchemy. Rebirth. Death. Healing. Shedding. Transformation. Witchy. Magical.
A season that doesn’t bullshit. A season that says it as it is. A season that promises to pull off any temporary band-aids so that real healing can take place. A season to let yourself be loved through it all, despite it all.
In my natal chart, I have Pluto in my third house of communication and expression in the sign of Scorpio. When we look at Pluto, we understand where a person has experienced trauma. When we look at Pluto, we also understand how can this person reclaim their power. So much in this post today will be in reverence to this reclamation.
Pluto went direct just a couple of days ago. As I talked about it here in my October post, it is a time to reclaim our power. And we are, okay? We just experienced a new moon solar eclipse in Libra 15 days ago, and on the 28th we are all set to experience another eclipse, a full moon one, in the sign of Scorpio. This eclipse window is not for the faint-hearted. And if you’ve made it through, I really want you to celebrate yourself for whatever mental, emotional, spiritual, or physical obstacles you are coming through. (I shared mine on a vulnerable story thread this week on my IG!). I am celebrating you big time - and not as someone preaching on the rock, but as someone feeling it through. An act of compassion.
The truth is, we are all going through something right now, and yet we feel like the only one. I was sitting and crying my heart out in my car feeling all alone in my pain and my story - and then I looked outside at all the apartments with tiny windows and doors, some of them clean, modern, and big, some of them small and old washed with pinks and blues of laundry hanging in the balcony.
The realization that each of these homes has a story of the people living in them interrupted my shame spiral. I realized the vastness of this Universe and the sameness of it in that one moment. I felt myself as a part of the fabric. A part of the world. An extension of all. Not alone, and, definitely not the only one.
I think this is the soul of Scorpio Season.
Deep vulnerable shadow work, but unlike the Virgo, not in a hermit, but in a collective synarchy. Synarchy, it is the heart of Scorpion gate 50 in Human Design.
Synarchy: a group or entity in which power is shared equally among its members.
We start the dramatic alchemical Scorpio season while the Sun transits Gate 50 in Human Design. As mentioned in my previous post, Gate 50 is called the gate of value and the Sun transits this gate from October 21st to October 25th. We start with the Scorpio Season on October 23rd.
Let’s recap what is this energy really about.
Gate 50: October 21st to October 25th
The Gate of Values
Core Theme: Fear of responsibility.
This is the energy of having faith in your values and living with a knowing that it will transform and heal the collective. This time frame asks us to prioritize what our own belief systems and values are. How can we live them? This is the energy to spot corrupt behavior in groups and communities and transform them by living your truth. This is really about doing your life your way instead of being pursued by unhealthy groups and their ideologies. This asks us to filter our groups, and our community and place healthy boundaries. This asks us to have faith in our values instead of living by others so that we don’t have to take responsibility.
How are the people around you influencing your values? Are they bringing you in alignment with your values - or are they drifting you away?
Wow. When I mentioned above that I stepped outside my doctor’s clinic into my car crying my heart out, I cried my heart out because for the first time, it felt like someone from my local community was asking me to not be pursued by the unhealthy societal norms and instead keep charting my own path through my own truth. It was absolutely gratifying and validating - but more than anything my heart felt a deep sense of gratitude for being seen and understood this way by someone in my society and my community. O lord, the sense of belonging my third house Scorpio has been aching for! O Lord, my Venus in 8th House Aries shining bright in this gift of receiving.
The truth is, choosing and charting your own path, be it the decision to get married or not or by when or the decision to pursue certain careers, is not easy in a conservative Indian society where we grow up with certain conditions and prerequisites of what makes us lovable and acceptable. (Especially if you have an open G center in Human Design that craves and doubts your lovability more often than not!).
So I guess while my mind tells me I am breaking apart, the truth is I am being touched by love and healing in the places that have been bleeding for a long time. And when I say long, I mean probably my whole life and a half.
The Scorpio Season whispers in my ears: you can live your truth, light, or/and shadow, and you are still lovable through it all.
Editing update: Sharing this footage from the day I wrote this out. A vulnerable share for this Virgo rising Aqua moon has never recorded, let alone shared, a moment like this. But as someone who grew up holding shadows for these *sad* parts of me and seeing them as attention-seeking, unwanted, and unloved, this share is the reclamation of my power and expression. And of course, I had to record a moment in time when I allowed myself to finally receive support and for a hot second not have to be the strong one holding it together. Ah, the gift of being received??🥺🥺🥺
The Scorpio season screams that your shadows, your shortcomings, your fears, your anxiety, your sense of failure, or your feelings of loneliness, none of it makes you unlovable. When I was doing an EFT tapping a week ago on shame, I was shocked to hear the words, “I can feel this shame and I can still be loved through it.”
At that moment, I realized that what trips me is not the thing I am ashamed about but the belief that I can’t be loved through this shame. It was liberating because I really don’t know if I can fix this shame for once and for all in this lifetime, but the fact that I can be loved through it all - that’s relieving.
I have been playing with text and work on Shame this month and I loved adding them to my Perfectionism workshop inside the Jewel Bundle.
Let’s move to the energy that we have available post 25th October - during the lunar eclipse, and how to work through it.
Gate 28: October 25th to October 31st
The Darkness of the Whisperer. This is the energy to face the darkness with courage. Its official name is Game Player and its core theme is fear of death and purposelessness.
This time allows us to face heads on our psychological fears and anxieties. Scorpio doesn’t swim on the surface. Scorpio is the Sherlock Holmes of mind. It investigates, probes, and makes sure they leave no stone unturned in reaching the truth of the matter. Hence, a great time to sit with yourself a little longer, meditate, think through, question your thinking... Especially after whatever is illuminated with the lunar eclipse full moon on the 28th. Mercury is also crusading with Mars in Scorpio currently so while there’s a lot of fury and rage bubbling up, there is also ample availability of information at hand. Don’t shy from deep conversations bringing up things that need to be looked at and supporting each other to face the darkness with support and courage. Your truth liberates another. I think we all have been running for long, and we are so so tired that we better stop and look at what exactly are we running away from.
Gate 44: November 1st to November 5th
The Patter Interruptor. That’s what this gate is called with its core theme being fear of the past repeating itself. This is the energy to learn from our past mistakes instead of ruminating and fearing them. This is the energy to practice forgiveness and release the past to make way for a new.
So if you’re in a place where you’ve been holding yourself back because you are too scared and ashamed of the past, this energy will be a gift to release yourself from this shame. I watched a tarot reading today and she shared a perspective on the Hanged Man in tarot as well as the energy to forgive. This was so refreshing honestly because we always see a hanged man as an energy of being in a stalemate. Stuck. Stagnant. Waiting. But when you add ‘forgiveness’ to the mix you can actually understand that maybe, just maybe, the reason you are a hanged man in the stagnancy is that you are stuck in the negative frequency of Gate 44. You are too frozen to move forward because you are still entertaining the ghosts of the past. Let.it.go this week.
Gate 1 : 6th November - 11th November
This is the gate of Self-expression with the energy of honoring your natural creative cycles. It is the realization that our creativity flows with its own ebb and flow. This is also the pressure to stay *high vibe* and generate creative projects like a robot. This is the idea that somehow something is wrong if you are not high vibe and creative all the time. Classic manifestation trap!
An evolved Scorpio calls this bullshit. Scorpio knows the richness and exuberance of all positive and negative emotions and how they equally contribute to the creative process. This week, you are being asked to put that song on repeat (which is exactly what I am doing right now!) and feel.it.all. And then, see where it takes you, what art wants to bleed through you, what revolution wants to move through you, what expression wants to live through you.
Gate 43: 12th November - 17th November
Gate 43 is called the Gate of Insight holding the fear of rejection. It resides in the awareness Ajna centre and connects to the throat centre. It is the energy of intuitive knowing, self-awareness, and breakthroughs.
I have this gate and I know how deep trust it asks you to display on your own intuitive wisdom in a world that tells you to follow the norm and shoulds. This week, we are being asked to really get candid and question if we are following our own path and truth —- or if we are adhering to what keeps us away from rejection. Maybe some of you are indeed following your truth but still face the doubts and confusion time and again. This means that the pressure is still playing out energetically. Have a clean honest talk with yourself and discern which are the beliefs that are yours and which are the ones which are simply external pressures because you really care what others think of you. Someone in my life with a 43-23 channel once left me with a message - “I hope you stop caring about what others think..” And while I was mad reading it at the time, it’s also something I go back to it again and again when I hold my truth back for fear of what others think of me.
Gate 14: 18th November - 22nd November
The final few days of Scorpio season leave us with the gift of abundance. It’s also the period right after Diwali, an Indian festival dedicated to the Goddess of prosperity - Lakshmi.
Gate 14 is called The Prosperity Lumen or the gate of power skills. It is the energy of having the skills to create wealth and abundance by following your dreams.
It is the classic ‘love what you do’ philosophy which most of the prosperous people in the world swears by. It is in complete opposition to the hard reality matrix has sold us about having no option but to spend your energy and days in soul-sucking labor. It denies the limiting belief that there’s no way to make money in a way that could possibly be filled with ease and joy. Almost like it’s a fantasy!
Gate 14 questions that hard - and I think after the whole 10-course lavish spread that this Scorpio Season has presented us, it’s no wonder that we will feel the need to apply these lessons in our lives for real. We will feel the urge to taste abundance and prosperity in a way that’s not soul-sucking, but instead, a way that enriches our mind, body, and soul. When we follow our dreams, we don’t just have the ability to generate money. It is a big juicy part of it but what we also get is immense satisfaction, joy, pleasure, delight, peace, contentment, and true success. We feel fulfilled and radiant. It reflects in our health. It’s creative satisfaction at max. It inspires us and opens up our hearts. This is true prosperity. How can you make just one degree move towards this experience?
