I have been waiting for 5 days straight to be ‘in the mood to write’. It’s not happened yet as I type these words, and if I wait any longer, I know this post will mean nothing.
And the thing is, I do want to write. But I have been just waiting to feel right, you know? Writing is sacred and romantic. There’s an image I have in my mind for when I write - a perfect image of candles, incense, peace in my heart, roses in my room. But let’s just admit, most of the art and writing happens when you feel like shit. I said it.
I might have said this many many times only to say it again.
Art, love, writing, romance, beauty - none of it is supposed to be found in a fairyland. They all exist right here in the density of this planet, in the thick of smoke, in the midst of pain and exhaustion and frustration, in the mundane and in the messiness. They always have: French Revolution, Renaissance art, Love in the Time of Cholera, Anne Frank’s diary, Harry Potter…I could go on and on.
We don’t create beautiful things because our life is beautiful. It sucks, but, creativity is the catalyst. She is what transmutes pain into liberation, mundane into beauty, and nothingness into everything. As so is this letter I am writing with no idea where I am heading but hoping that by the end it shall transmute something that’s been bubbling for these last few days.
“Accept the glorious mess that you are,” said my beloved writer Elizabeth Gilbert.
This quote is plastered on the first page of my ‘Awaken to Self Love’ journal which by the way, I sent out to be published as a hardcover internationally this week. No roses, no candles, no mood, none of the shenanigans - almost by accident because I got distracted and meh, just happened to open up an old tab on my browsing window and minutes later, done.
And that’s how I have been creating for the past decade.
Right through the mundane, meh, and mess.
Don’t worry I am not distracted this time. I know it’s a Libra Season post and like all things, I trust that we are getting there with each word I write and you read. But to taste the essence of this Libra season, we need to understand this first.
Libra is not just about the frivolous. I know a lot of us take this Venusian Libra energy very lightly because, of course, it’s air. It doesn’t penetrate like the water sign Scorpio. It doesn’t hold us up like the mighty earth sign Capricorn. It doesn’t even usher us into the launch like the fiery intensity of an Aries does.
It’s just beauty.
And the world that we live in has forgotten beauty.
It has forgotten art.
It has forgotten poetry.
It has forgotten a sweet light-hearted moment of romance.
And when we forget all of this, we forget life.
I am not talking about the glass-skin that beauty commercials sell dreams of. I am neither talking about the travel paradise nor the wedding galas that Instagram sells us calling it ‘romance’. Fuck, noway.
What I am talking about is a moment of sweetness, a moment of grace, a moment of butterflies in your stomach, a moment of playfulness, a moment of intuitive knowing - just a moment. That’s libra season for us. An annual reminder that beauty and romance and love and art are available everywhere at all times. Sometimes in the roses, sometimes in the smell of freshly churned spices, sometimes in the old china cup, sometimes in a song with a memory, sometimes in doing something you really love but you keep procrastinating it (the way I have been procrastinating writing!). But it’s all there, always.
And we can access it always.
And, we don’t have to wait for someone or something outside us to be a certain way to LIVE our life. Life is happening right now, not that day in the unforeseen future your mind has labeled as ‘destination’ or ‘made it’ or ‘happily ever after’.
All these moments, stacked one on top of the other, will create the bedrock that your life will be. Look back and you will find it in your memory account.
This is Libra Season.
Beauty in mundane. Love in war. Art in Revolution. Information in Intuition.
A reminder that she’s not at the top of the mountain. She’s not at the end of the river. She’s not the prize. She is here, now. She is solace, a breather, a pause, a home to come back to before you go out there again. A sweet fruit and a drink to quench your thirst as you do this thing called life. She is here to be with you. She won’t meet you there. She will come with you there - wherever you’re heading. She’s coming with you. Get out of the survival mode. See her right now, drink her right now, soak in her warmth right now.
Themes: Venusian and feminine - Love, Relationships, Marriage, Collaboration, Friendships, Balance, Beauty, Art, and Romance.

When you read the human design transits of this season below, you will see how so much of this season is about intuitive awareness. All the gates that the Sun transits through after the 27th of September are in the Splenic center of intuition and instincts. Maybe we truly have misunderstood the beauty of Libra. I mean think of it, does intuition speak to you when you are frantically checking your to-dos and gulping down your fifth coffee of the day? No, it (can) only speak to you when you slow down, when you are marveling, when you are daydreaming when you are probably listening to a song (synchronicity).
This season is asking us to rise above the fears around our relationships and collective belonging which drive us away from our own intuition, values and instincts.
This Season is an invitation to lean further into our core truth, values and inner knowing above what we think the world wants from us.
This Season is about collective reformation because that’s what Libra is about. It is about relating, balancing, and harmony in friendships, communities, and relationships.
But in the highest embodiment, it is not about sacrificing your own intuitive truth to belong - but instead to drive the collective with our own truth.
How many of us are sacrificing our truth because we think it will make us different or not belong to our circles?
Of course, it’s a splenic fear because back in the day, the ‘belonging’ to the tribe was what determined our survival. Splenic fears do feel like life and death because that’s what they were made for. But Libra Season is here to remind us that our intuition also lives right here in this splenic center. And so, we have a choice now (because we are no longer hanged till death for changing our friend circle or speaking our truth in our communities - at least a majority of us in the modern urban landscape). We have a choice now to choose if we want to be one with the tribe at the expense of compromising our truth, gifts, and values or to transform and heal the tribe by living them.
Let’s explore Human Design transits for this season one by one to understand these themes and this season more closely.

Gate 46: September 22nd to September 27th
The Gate of Determination of the Self
Core Theme: Love of the body and the determination to follow through.
We continue the theme of loving and honouring our body for being the vessel of all that we do and be. This is the deepest sense of respect for our physical bodies. This time calls for practices, commitments and rituals in devotion to respect and celebrate our bodies. This is the energy of anchoring deeper into the human body experience and recognizing your body for its strength, beauty and vitality.
What can you do in reverence to your body?
My upcoming course is an act of grace for our physical vessels.
A 21-day journey to heal our over-stimulated and overworked nervous systems. A moment of pause, a breather.
Every day, under 15 minutes, for 21 days.
Gate 18: September 28th to October 2nd
The Gate of Correction
Core Theme: Fear of authority.
This is the Libran energy to improve the quality of life - or whatever we have at hand. This sees through the details and offers suggestions to correct what’s broken. It’s a beautiful energy for an artist or an analyst. However, in its low frequency, this energy can be used to stay stuck because nothing feels perfect enough and there’s always one more flaw to be fixed. On the negative spectrum, this could become an energy of being too critical. It’s important to understand that the improvements are made with a desire to uplevel but not out of the fear of authority.
Where are you living in perfectionism syndrome out of an external fear?
Gate 48: October 3rd to October 8th
The Gate of Depth
Core Theme: Fear of inadequacy.
This is the energy of resourcefulness. It’s about having the curiosity to go to the depth of the wisdom well. This is the understanding that there’s deep wisdom in living life and that true wisdom comes from these very living experiences rather than just hoarding books. On the negative spectrum, this could be an energy of gaining more information to avoid real-life experiences, emotions, and wisdom in order to appear knowledgeable and fix the fear of inadequacy.
Do you trust your life’s wisdom and experiences?
Gate 57: October 9th to October 14th
The Gate of Intuitive Clarity
Core Theme: Fear of the future.
This time frame is here to remind us of the beautiful energy of intuition that we all possess irrespective of whether we have this gate defined or not in our chart. We all have psychic gifts and access to higher wisdom no matter how spiritually initiated we are. It is only when we override our intuition because of other’s opinions or logical reasoning that we find ourselves in a place of frustration, anger, and bitterness. When we cannot trust ourselves and what our intuition is guiding us towards because we outsource our trust, we hit the wall. This period will be a wonderful time to connect back to that intuitive knowing within and perhaps for some of us take a step towards that direction even if it doesn’t make sense. Yes, that’s exactly what Gate 57’s energy is here for.
How can you practice faith in your intuitive knowing?
Gate 32: October 15th to October 20th
The Gate of Continuity
Core Theme: Fear of failure.
Also known as the success oracle, this is the energy of being in a healthy relationship with both success and failure. This intuitive and sensory awareness can drive one to guide their friends, family, and community to their highest potential irrespective of the failures they might encounter on the way. Again, it is about trusting the inner knowing and helping the people around to make changes in their life without the need or greed of having to win or succeed or prove. This calls us to work with the community rather than living an isolated life in the fear of failing or on the opposite spectrum pressuring them to conform to our own ideals when they are not ready.
Why are you holding back your gifts and awareness to share with your community?
Gate 50: October 21st to October 25th
The Gate of Values
Core Theme: Fear of responsibility.
This is the energy of having faith on your values and living with a knowing that it will transform and heal the collective. This time frame asks us to prioritize what our own belief systems and values are. How can we live them? This is the energy to spot corrupt behaviour in groups and communities and transform them by living your truth. This is really about doing your life your way instead of being pursuaded by unhealthy groups and their ideologies. This asks us to filter our groups, our community and place healthy boundaries. This asks us to have faith in our values instead of living by others so that we don’t have to take responsibility.
How are the people around you influencing your values? Are they bringing you in alignment with your values - or are they drifting you away?
The best way to work with these transits is to have a weekly ritual where you journal or contemplate on these prompts. The fact is you’d be experiencing these transits anyway - so why not do the work and experience a higher frequency of these energies instead of feeling stuck with lower?
Leave me a comment below if this resonates with you for this season - or slide into my DMs to let me know if you read my substacks and if they support you like the way this lovely woman did yesterday - “I find reading your substacks so easy to understand.” I cannot emphasize how knowing my impact is so valuable to me! xx
For 1:1 Sessions with me, hop here.
As a libra born, I loved reading this so much. Truly embodied what it is to write from a writer's perspective too. Along the way, we find the meaning!
