Sometime seven weeks back, I found myself digging through a particular aspect of astrology at 3:00 a.m... I couldn’t, could not, stop. (ah, the moments my Virgo rising + line 1 HD live for!!). But since then, everything that has bubbled up to the surface has been at least thirty percent less stingy, less spiraling, and less heavy on my heart. If I look back, for all my life, “why do I feel the way I feel?” has been the most pressing question. Of course, when it comes to feelings, the moon would know better.

And turns out, the darn moon does indeed.

Perhaps Brene Brown’s words I just soaked up this morning would be able to put this up better: Perfectionism actually sets us up to feel shame, judgment, and blame, which then leads to even more shame and self-blame: “It’s my fault. I’m feeling this way because I am not good enough.” (I further scribbled in red on the page - YIKES!).

I have been in a season of life where it has perhaps been days, weeks, or months to be introverted, to wanna be a homebody, to want to curl up with a book, cook, release what doesn’t serve me, and practically cleanse up my entire life. You know, a season of purge? A season of spiritual cleansing and purification? A season of deep rest? Yea. Only that it feels like it’s gonna last forever, the kind of season where in your heart nothing feels shiny or exciting enough to leap at like you’d in your young and wild days, and you wonder if this is what life has come to - if I am actually going through some depressive slash angry episode or if this is what entering the third decade of your life looks like?

For so long, there has been an overwhelming pressure that there is something wrong with the way I am approaching life, especially with people around me echoing that sentiment loud and over “You shouldn’t be doing it this way” - until this information around my Pisces moon progression kicked in.

A lightbulb awareness that I needed to gift myself grace and compassion for wherever I have been planted in this season of life.

As the nerd that I am, I pulled out my entire progressed moons’ history and traced the years gone by with them. I could see my whole life panning out perfectly with the cosmos, with a purpose.

A recognition that there is a mood for everything.

A realization that each season has a gift for us.

A message to be less judgemental and more understanding and compassionate.

Of course, all these themes have been playing out so personally for me in this Pisces moon progression. I mean you need to know where I was coming from to realize why this emotional outlook on life felt so intense. The progression prior to this was

my Aquarius progressed moon - a season of rebellion, truth, and expression. I was talking non-stop (my IG story archives blow my mind, LOL!). I was community-driven, a member of many spiritual, new age groups and heavily relying on social media for this kind of revolution. 2019- 2021, the pandemic sparked up a revolution in me and I was totally on the spiritual frontline dishing out information, tappings, meditations, and all kinds of wellness resources to resource everyone through this time of soul crisis. I even started my podcast at this time and obviously, it was named ‘Conscious Revolution Podcast’.

Somewhere mid 2020 I could start feeling the oncoming of my Pisces progression yet I kept on pushing. It was a crazy time indeed. I was ungrounded as heck! And then very soon it started showing up. I started burning out physically and mentally - yet my response was to push harder.

That last phase of Aquarius progressed moon was an exposure of my detachment from my body, myself, and my emotions.

Finally on my birthday in February 2021, (that’s when my moon entered the Pisces progression) I signed up with a mentor to work on my energetics. In very true essence, it was the start of my healing. I was forced to rest, to pour back to myself, to draw boundaries, to give less and receive more - the kind of shit I have been on since 2021 till now. This, my friends, has been an era of cleansing my addictions and patterns and recognizing how detached I was from my emotional experience in my Aquarius progression phase... I obviously had tears in my eyes understanding about my progressed Pisces moon recently because Lord! I have been pushing and self-loathing myself so much.

I have been holding on to a ton of shame about not showing up the way I was showing up for so long when I started my business in my Capricorn/Aquarius progressions (ie. the years of me hustling it!).

I tried many many times to continue the same momentum - but that initial zest would fizzle out in just a week because I was basically operating on a ZERO.

We can only generate as much as is available right? My tank was empty with bare minimum energy levels. It was embarrassing and bad self-tripping. I hated my body for not coping (this progression is happening in my 6th house of health and routines). My mind tripped me up over and over again for not living the idea of success that I had built in my Capricorn and my Aquarius progressed moon eras. Fuck, why I couldn’t? “I hate this season of my life”, I said many many many times!

Endless comparisons and the shoulds of what a woman nearing her thirties should have her life look like or how much success and money I should be making right now, where I should be living, all the exotic places I should be traveling, how many events I should be hosting or attending, how i should probably be getting married, you get the drift - in all truth, I was pushing against the season. I was basically crying why can’t I wear my cozy woolen sweater in the heat of May? I was mad at May, I was mad at the cosmos, I was mad at myself, and at everything and everyone around until perhaps astrology and Human Design started knocking on my doors softening my resistance.

Understanding my Pisces progressed moon towards the end of this progression (I am just 9 months away from the completion of this water progression!) is no cosmic joke but actually a perfect part of this progression journey. Part of the Pisces progression journey is actually cultivating deep understanding and compassion for self and others. And WOW, I actually understand what Compassion means while a year and a half ago it was nothing more than just a word.

This Pisces moon progression has and continues to give me multiple opportunities to reset my nervous system, calm my anxiety, address deep-seated trauma, draw energetic boundaries, and give myself the replenishment and rest I have been in need of since my last water sign progression in 2013. I cannot deny these needs no matter what the world asks me to be or give and in what kind of urgency it does. It has also made me aware of my gifts: gifts of sensitivity, gifts of empathy, and gifts of my psychic abilities. This also means having to learn to work with these gifts responsibly.

As I write about progressions today, I stand with an inner knowing and satisfaction that my life indeed looks exactly the way it needs to look right now. It feels the way it needs to feel right now. I am not misaligned or misplaced. I am indeed actually on time. I have learned what I needed to. I tended to the things I needed to. I fulfilled the assignment I needed to. These are the words my heart craved to hear from someone outside of me. A sense of affirmation, and validation. A sense of relief - Phew! I feel all this and so much love and respect for my life. I have seen and held space for my entire life’s pain and suffering in this progression and how can I not hold compassion for all that I am right here, right now? How can I not love myself and see myself as a beautiful extension of God? How can I undermine my beauty, my grace, my kindness? This is self-love and unity consciousness on a whole another dimension I never expected myself to experience. Ascension at its meatiest. And even though my Aries progressed moon era is a good 9-month away destination, I can feel the anticipation and excitement building up for this new fiery season already. While I couldn’t feel any of it before, I also now realize why this phase was asking me to pause and refill my energy tank - because a fire sign progressed moon is obviously nothing short of an adventure. Right now, I cannot even imagine how will the wheel of life turn that way or how will my perception and motivation shape up toward that ferocious fiery energy, haha! But I am looking forward to it because maybe I am realizing that I would have the energy to bring to that season of my life :)

For anyone reading this, I hope you value the season of life you are in even if it looks different from that of your peers or your own previous seasons or even the ideas you’ve had about how this time of your life ‘should’ have looked like. So let’s begin with understanding a ‘Progressed Moon’.

Moons in astrology signify our emotions and moods. Progressed charts determine an individual’s natal chart evolution throughout their life. Astrologers use the Progressed Moon to track a person’s emotional and psychological growth over time. Each progressed degree is equivalent to one month. Our progressed moons tell us what color glasses are we wearing in a particular (2.5-year /30-month spanned) phase of our life. It determines what would be our outlook towards life, and what emotions and moods reign our lives. The moon progressions oscillate between masculine and feminine signs, hence one being extroverted, warm, and yang while the other being introverted, cool, and yin. When our progressed moons move from a masculine sign to a feminine sign, there can be feelings of discomfort and doubt simply because we live in a world that has yet to appreciate the gifts, beauty, and richness of the yin.

Pisces is feminine and water. Aries is masculine and fire. Do you see the contrast? Pisces is also the last sign of the zodiac, so I have been actually going through a whole karmic cleansing and spiritual culmination before a brand new cycle presents itself in the sign of Aries.

Open up the menu, and hover on ‘Free Horoscopes’ > Horoscope Drawings and Data > Extended Chart Selection.
Make a free account if you don’t have one yet > fill up your birth details.
In ‘Sections’ select Chart Type - Progressions>Progressed Chart.

Tada, you have generated your progressed chart for the current time of your life. On the bottom left, you will find all your planets listed out. Simply look at ‘Moon’ and see which sign it is in - that’s your progressed moon at the moment and the number adjacent is its degree (recall what I wrote above, 1 degree is equivalent to 1 month).

Progressed moon in Aries

A masculine fiery aries progressed moon is going to make you all about YOU. Aries is self-centered and it can come easy for you if you’re a fire moon (Leo, Aries, Sag Moon) but otherwise, if you find it difficult to put yourself first usually, it can feel a little unsettling. Nonetheless, you are here right now to learn how to prioritize yourself first and release any shadows in that area. This is an absolute selfish, self-serving energy so it’s a wonderful time to create a solid foundation for yourself - be it financially, emotionally, mentally, or physically. You will have a burst of fresh energy unlike you have experienced in a long, long time (a decade?). Play outside, hike, sweat it out, travel, chase butterflies and sunsets and ambitions - that adrenaline rush is getting super real. Just be careful to not be rash or impulsive in a self-sabotaging way, and instead use that passionate, fiery energy to kickstart new endeavors, projects, and relationships. Also to have fun hobbies! And yes, keep some practices to manage anger handy during this time to transmute that fire.

Progressed Moon in Taurus

An earthy moon progression means it’s time to take root. Life becomes slower and simpler. It’s time to take inventory of living on earth - buying a house, getting your money and income in place, and perhaps for many getting married and starting a family (or whatever kind of partnership you prefer). I have recently seen too many people in their Taurus progressions getting married for real. On one hand, the purpose of this progression is to bring you safety and stability, while on the other, it can feel like life has become monotonous and boring. You may miss the touch of magic or the fire you were playing with in your Aries progression. As always, it is the lens you choose. It is a moment to find beauty in everyday life. It is the time to romanticize your daily commute, routines, and lunches. It’s important to add or appreciate the beauty in your life since Taurus is ruled by Venus. How can you find beauty right here, right now? This is truly in translation to what the world talks about being on the earthly realms, the maia. The place where you are striving to build a life and yet are asked to find beauty in the mundane. Smell the roses and you will actually see that this is the safest you’ve perhaps ever felt. It’s like a warm blanket, cozy and comforting. Like home. A taurus progression is truly the most home you’ll ever feel if you muster the ability to look beyond the mundane.

Progressed Moon in Gemini

A progressed moon in Gemini asks you to devote time and space to share a message. Now this doesn’t mean you will start a podcast or a publishing substack necessarily (although chances are, you may), it does mean that your mind is dancing through a direct mercury hotline. Mercury is the planet of communication and technology and likewise the ruler of the air sign Gemini. This is why this is a time when you will find yourself to be more chatty and expressive than usual. Think about how can you use this time to undertake projects which ask you to share your ideas, opinions and thoughts clearly. If you are someone who struggles with confidence to share, you may actually find a new found ease in expressing yourself. However, at the same time, it can be challenging if you over-think. Oh yes! Air sign progressions can be chaotic and anxious simply because the mind there is a lot of information coming through (that direct mercury hotline!) and so it will become necessary to share these messages with your family, community and maybe even the collective. While this is a great time to speak up your mind with a loved one, be careful to not cross the line and respect if they are not on the same wavelength as you right now- because you are really wanting to be out there, mingle, and exchange. If your partner or someone close to you is in a say, water progression, you can have a tendency to go on your own whim. Now that you have this information, avoid it. If you use this energy to create and give birth to a project that utilizes your voice, it’s going to be extremely beneficial for you, not just right now but for future investments too. Cancer Moon Progression

If you are in a time of your life where you’d want to embrace motherhood, this is THE phase for that mother archetype to shine. Cancer is the mother. She is intuitive and psychic. She is protective. She is the caregiver. She is the nurturer.

Now motherhood is not only mothering a child. It can also mean mothering a pet, a business, a sibling, or even yourself. You are softer and more sensitive than other progression phases. Water progressions are more difficult than others simply because they are emotional and humanity is still navigating to understand its relationship with them. Emotions take a lot more time to process and a lot more energy to release. So gift yourself the grace of time to experience the emotional waves, the beauty of cathartic crying, and the joy of coming back to your self. Since cancer is connected to mother, your relationship with motherhood, be it the one you experienced with your own mother or the one you are experiencing with your children will come to light. This can be bittersweet and sometimes emotionally triggering since a mother is associated with our relationship with emotions which in turn decide how we relate to love and other people in our lives. Hold space for this inner transformation and alchemy. You know how they say, when a woman heals, she heals her entire generation. I will dedicate this to the Cancer moon progression. Indulge into healing practices and cleansing rituals to purify your energetic field. Be wary of psychic attacks and practice grounding (which is why cooking and gardening and bonding should be the key!). You may also release lots of karmic patterns which you might have picked up due to your incorrect karmic love language. This is a beautiful time to correct those timelines and love languages.

If you are in your leo moon progression, this is the time to draw out the curtains and experience the true meaning of being seen and celebrated. These 2.5 years are an initiation into owning your expression. This can be through your voice, but doesn’t have to be. It can be through your work, through your outfit, through the way you live your life queen-size.

If you listened to your intuition in the Cancer progression years, you are in for it a luck because you have that availability of confidence to reach the stars. You can make bold moves. You can make the calls you need to, reach wherever you desire to, and basically take risks with immense faith in your heart. Most importantly, there is so much joy and child-like spirit available for you to create and have fun. It’s probably going to be much easier in these years to stay positive and to brighten up the lives of those around you with that positivity. Just be mindful to not burn these very people with your fire because that may happen when a Leo is too busy shining in the mirror. It’s like when you put a mirror in front of the sun there is the possibility of burning things around. So practice grounding spiritual meditations and community projects or volunteering to keep yourself compassionate and empathetic and not get too lost in “it’s me, my world”. As long as your fire doesn’t turn arrogant and boastful which hurts the sentiments of those around you by being too demanding - your self embodiment is valid. Virgo Moon Progression

When someone goes through a Virgo progression, they can either produce the greatest work of their lives with that tenacity, perseverance, and attention to detail - or they can spiral into shame and severe anxiety. Perfection wounds hit you hard in a Virgo moon progression. A person can go to great lengths in trying to prove their worth through hard work and dedication to their job at hand. So while this energy is beautiful on one hand because it teaches us that Rome wasn’t built in a day, it can also be this energy to criticize yourself, and your work and maybe never even have your work make it through the cut because you are too busy in improvising. This can also be a great period of healing those places that might have birthed these perfectionism tendencies once a person understands the deep consequences of their perfectionism on their body, their work, and even their relationships. Make sure your mind is not too busy overthinking, so gift yourself healthy distractions instead of spiraling in negative thinking. Spend time in nature and work with a coach or a healer if you feel called to. Virgo is also the healer of the zodiac so it would be also a beautiful time when you feel called to step into a bigger role of sharing your healing with others.

Libra Moon Progression

During our libra moon progression, our moods can be very extroverted and social. We feel a desire to connect, to laugh, and to indulge in the beautiful pleasures of life as Libra is ruled by Venus. Again, daily, softer pleasures of life in Venusian beautiful ways not rich old money pleasures the way a Leo or a Scorpio would indulge in. A libra moon progression gifts you with a beautiful ability to collaborate and negotiate in your relationships as well as at work. You get to be very good at diplomacy and get things done much more easily with people. You have an innate charm that attracts the right opportunities through people in your life - so don’t skip that invitation to a summer soiree. At the same time, have time in your calendar to detox and rejuvenate from all the socializing and mingling. On the flip side, just with any other moon progression, there can be a tendency to fall into the shadows of the feminine aka codependency, people pleasing, obsessing about what people think of you or if you are beautiful enough - all the shenanigans of being a woman can catch up at this time. Nonetheless, communication is extremely fluid at this time, so you might gain a lot if you share your feelings and thoughts with your sisters rather than falling into the typical air sign behavior of ghosting them!

Scorpio Moon Progression

So if you are currently navigating the scorpio progression, I straight away want to send you a cosmic hug and remind you that it will get better. One of my friends just came out of her Scorpio progression and she said to me this felt like the darkest phase of my life honestly EVER. This is also the time when she started taking therapy. You have to see that Scorpio is the sign of the underworld. It will bring up things in the psyche that might hold a lot of shadow and darkness. We may or may not be ready for this so support is vital. There can be even suicidal thoughts or the urge to escape through substance abuse. When I think of my Scorpio progression a decade ago, it was pretty similar to what I have been experiencing in my Pisces progression - only that I was less aware and less resourced and so I picked up many ways to cope with that energy - some of them might have not been the healthiest. And so, when one is being planted in the Scorpio moon progression, the awareness that this is a period in itself can be deeply relieving because when you are in the thick of it, you literally are wearing black colored glasses and it can really feel like the end of the world. But please plaster on your walls: nothing is the end of the world until it is the end of the world. Our emotional lens can be pessimistic and dark and hence the correct support where you can share, express, and purge your feelings can mean a lot. I can write all the advice in the world and make this entire article about you, but I just stumbled upon a little poem on Instagram (thanks to my MG brain) and I think it says a lot more than I could ever.

Sagittarius Moon Progression

Mmmm, after floating in the murky waters of the last 2.5 years, you have made your way into a new era. So first, celebrate! Looking at the world through a Sagittarius perspective is absolutely a mind-blowing delight! You see possibilities you never saw before, you have the fire in your belly to light up the world with your learnings from your water progression. You have the strength and endurance to make anything happen - and happen how! There’s fun, learning, and oodles of expansion in the air. There are also lots of opportunities to travel and explore. this could be deepening your philosophies or making cross-cultural connections - either way, you have a sense of optimism, and the best part is that you value it! After one emerges from the dark but profound waters of Scorpio, they see life in a way they’ve never seen before. Life becomes a gift. How can you share your learnings with the world? (I started my blog which is now my website the moment I stepped into Sagittarius progression). How do you want to support the causes you became acutely aware of in your last progression? (I was volunteering for underprivileged kids’ education in my Sag era!). Is there a new course or school you want to join to step onto a new meaningful path? (I didn’t join a course, but I joined multiple internships to explore my career). Where do you want to go? This is a question that Sagittarius progression brings in. It’d be best to be open to infinite possibilities, to unknown adventures, and to take risks even if you’re usually someone who likes to stay in their comfort zone. Capricorn Moon Progression

If you find yourself in the midst of a Capricorn progression, learn to see the gift of building every day. Capricorn is the goat climbing up the mountain astrology. They are one of the most hardworking beings. When you are having a Capricorn moon progression, you might be very focused on working towards something. You may find yourself less interested in the frivolous and more interested in breaking your back - or the bank! You got the drift. Which also means, you should also be extra careful about your health since you can be too busy with the hustle. Make sure you have ample of space for inspiration and moving your body. While we are building Rome with that solid concrete energy, we don’t want the flow in your life to be interrupted. Make sure you also make time for your friends and family because sometimes you might find yourself a little too detached and lonesome. Nonetheless, know that this is a time in your life to pour your intention and attention to build something (for some it could also be family) that will stand the test of time. Investments and entrepreneurship are also two segments that can feel very enticing and exciting for you at this time The intellect for the long term is sharp - so use it wisely.

Aquarius Moon Progression

Navigating through Aquarius moon progression can be a very busy time in your life intellectually. You may yourself juggling through multiple things at once while also standing up for causes that truly matter to you (sometimes even the ones which don’t, ouch!). The Air energy stimulates your intelligence and communication so make sure you have an outlet to share this energy. I started my podcast in my Aquarius moon progression alongside many teaching workshops and masterclasses. Instagram stories and lives had been recently launched and I was overflowing with free advice. It was a crazy time of my life when I knew I was operating at 200%. So when we talk about the downside, the downside is you can really get burnt out (which I totally did). Another thing, while we can be very open to making new friends and love our community, we can also be a little cold and detached from old connections. Make your choice wisely and act accordingly. If you want to sustain your old connections, carve out time for these folks! If not, let them go. It’s also a great time to dive into your bigger hopes and aspirations.

Pisces Moon Progression

Well, I have already talked SO much about it above in my introduction - but if you’re navigating this period in your life - hell, you deserve some extra love. Another water progression, so of course just like Scorpio and Cancer progressions, this is the time which can similarly be an opportunity for healing or for resorting to addictions to escape. Pisces is interestingly associated with substance addictions as well as spirituality. Both of them signify a sense of getting away from the earthly. This could be a time when you’d want to escape your life or a time when you’d be living in another world more than where you are planted. Heightened psychic awareness, sharp intuition, vivid imagination, and fantasy are some of the experiences that can find you in this phase. Think about how can you use these gifts to heal yourself and others around you at this time instead of using them as a way to escape or suppress. Guided healing visualizations and daydreaming can be very nurturing and supportive to you. Depending on which house you experience this progression, some of you might want to travel to a spiritual pilgrimage while some of you might prefer to stay indoors and connect to higher consciousness in privacy. Feeling your emotions on the full spectrum without judgment and with compassion is the easiest way to heal - though be wary of grounding yourself from time to time to balance and come back to your body. Pick up a fantasy fiction or tap into your imagination to heal or manifest your wildest dreams to life. Practice forgiveness and compassion for yourself and others. Connect to the Universe in some deep spiritual ways to find yourself supported and held by praying chanting or simply meditating. It’s highly important to give yourself a sense of faith and hope because Pisces is the sign of endings and climaxes which personally speaking can feel like a place of no return. It is vital to remind yourself that there is light at the end of the tunnel, even if you cannot see it right now. This would also be a time when you’d get signs and symbolism of your upcoming creations and projects - so tune in and note them down even if you don’t feel fully ready to jump up and create right away. Most of all, Rest. Remind yourself that rest is just as productive and with the upcoming Aries moon progression, you’d love to look back and thank yourself for slowing down and pouring onto yourself. Emotions take a lot of time and energy so it’s very important to be compassionate to yourself and cut yourself some slack.
