Aquarius Season: Truth, Community & Revolution
Jan 20-Feb 19 Aqua vibes ✨ with week by week breakdown of HD transits to get the Aqua flavour
From where I am right now, I can hear “Jai Shri Ram” on tapes, speakers, and passersby on the streets, as Hindus across my country celebrate the return of Ram at Ayodhya with the reclamation of lost indigenous Hindu land today. I don’t want to get into the politics of this subject because each has a different perspective to see this based on their background and learning - but I would say that this is indeed screaming the transition from Pluto in Capricorn to Pluto in Aquarius to me. What is also screaming Aquarius to me is the faith of the community - the undeterred, unapologetic, unrelinquished faith and celebration of a deity and a story that has a bazillion years behind it. If you place your foot on the Indian land today, you will never call the famous Ramayan a myth or a belief again. It’s alive and breathing. It’s THE TRUTH for many. It’s a shared faith, a shared purpose of many many Hindus - one of the last indigenous cultures left on this planet.
Two days ago, on the day the Sun moved into Aquarius, it kissed Pluto which moved into Aquarius just a day before on 20th January, giving us a Cazimi moment in astrology. This very moment is ushering us into an era of transformation in the collective consciousness revealing underlying secrets and hidden treasures for the next 20 years.
The last few times Pluto has been in Aquarius, we have witnessed the French Revolution (1778), the American Revolution, and the Industrial Revolution amongst many more. Collectively, our consciousness has been rising and many of us have been coming into our own spiritual awakenings. This means the need for freedom and the desire to break free from what has served its purpose and what is no longer benefiting us, will be strong. The desire to create our free structures would be inevitable. In caps lock, this very platform
is a revolution for creators and writers who are exhausted from creating free content for social media and screaming into the void. And doesn’t that make sense after the Capricorn season (or a whole era dedicated to authoritarian structures, and political and religious reformations)? We are visibly tired and we won’t shy away from throwing the void structures out. (I shared my personal story with Pluto in Capricorn in my last substack).
THIS IS AQUARIUS.
Keywords: space, truth, higher purpose, collective, freedom, liberation, revolution, voice
These sentiments around spaciousness, freedom, and revolution for the truth (which can also be very individual) - this is what Aquarius is about.
Aquarius is a water bearer and an air element. In tarot, she is the star card symbolizing hopes, dreams, and wishes.
She nurtures the collective through her unfiltered, naked truth.
It thrives on communication and technology. Spiritualists have believed that in 2012, we entered the Aquarian Age which will be spanned over 2500 years - a long long time to play with this energy for generations to come - what we also call the New Paradigm. My dad has been working in the telecom industry for the past 30 years (all my life) and having watched the communications go from telephones to mobile phones to internet chats and socials so up and close has been wild and revolutionary, to say the least.
Aquarius thrives in groups and communities which benefit from a shared purpose and goal. It’s an individual energy yet it is motivated by the collective interest.
By the people, for the people - is an Aquarius-driven quote.
This season is an initiation for us in many ways into a new era. While all those changes will happen over a period of time, this season is a pivotal time to align ourselves with these long-term goals and visions for the collective in the new paradigm.
This is an excellent season to start gathering resources for the vision and plans Capricorn season left you with. Get ready for increased communication and community work. We’d be feeling the uprising flavour so back up your plans with shared collective interest based on truth and freedom.
We all want freedom right now more than ever before.
We all deeply desire our way, our individuality, and our uniqueness to shine.
The Aquarius is the black sheep. It feels like an outsider.
As an Aquarius moon, I have always felt like the odd, weird, eccentric kid on the block. There has always been an unsettling feeling of being an outcast. It amplified even more when I openly decided to voice my spirituality and build my community through this work. There is a part of me that wants to just disappear when I meet or talk to my old friends and community - I feel really really like an outcast. But you know what’s interesting? I started feeling just as much of an outcast in the spiritual community as much as I felt outside it. And this is when I had to make peace with it. Maybe, this is just how Aquarius feels, no matter where it goes. The sense of belonging is a fleeting experience (at least in the life I have lived up until now) - and maybe that’s why they are always looking for a home outside their home in their community.
How can your individual plans align with those of your community?
Community is not a Facebook group or a club membership - though it totally can be. The community consists of people who are a part of your world in any small or big ways. These are the people whom Aquarians call acquaintances. Aquarians may or may not have many friends, but acquaintances? Plenty.
Get your network, acquaintances, and followers on the gram to work for your shared vision. Maybe some will be aligned, maybe some won’t be. Aquarius is okay either way. Aquarius doesn’t hold back its own truth and vision of the fear of not aligning with the people. I cannot say that their detachment doesn’t help them. It certainly does. And hey, a healthy detachment is what the buddhist monks talk of, right? This is why Aquarius can be true to their vision anyway and respect their truth to let the right people align and magnetize to it in the divine timing.
Aquarius is grounded in self-belief and self-trust. It is grounded in purpose. It does not have to manipulate or censor its truth simply because the purpose is so much bigger than the fear.
What communities are calling you to be a part of? Do you want to create one?
Which communities are not supporting your individual vision?
Where are you holding back your own truth for the fear of not belonging?
Do you trust your truth and your higher vision?
Let’s have a look at the HD transits week by week this season-
23rd January: Gate 41
Gate of Contraction
This is the official new year in Human Design. Gate 41 is the gate of contraction which is what happens right before the rebirth. It’s the portal of pain right before the transformation. The invisible unborn becomes the newly born baby in hand through this portal. What comes with this portal is infinite trust in the unknown and the sheer patience to go through it. There is surrender in this birth.
29th January: Gate 19
Gate of Sensitivity
This is the energy of invoking sensitivity for yourself and others. You may feel more sensitive than usual and will have the space to invoke empathy and compassion for self and others. Be mindful of sacrificing your own needs for others or of getting co-dependent on others. Both are unhealthy. The key to this sensitivity here is to tap into what people need from you intuitively. This transit will allow you to know the needs of others without them actually saying it to you - but be aware to balance this sensitivity with boundaries and self-care.
3rd February: Gate 13
Gate of Listening
This is the energy of listening to others to gather the correct information and data. This is what the right communities enable - the ability to be heard and seen for our truth and then be supported. We cannot form and give the right solutions or support if we don’t know what the people in our community are going through. This is the week of listening.
9th February: Gate 49
Gate of Revolution
I have this gate in my conscious Saturn and obviously, I started a podcast called Conscious Revolution Podcast on my Saturn Return. This is the energy of revolting when principles and values are not met. This could be quite a volatile energy as this gate lies in the emotional solar plexus so it’s very important to make sure we are not reacting but responding during this time. It’s important that the revolution is used for the causes that we truly care about, not just the ones we are influenced or feel triggered with in-the-moment.
14th February: Gate 30
Gate of Feelings
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we enter this gate on the day we have collectively decided to celebrate love, especially romantic love. Love has a way to take us through the chamber of our deep feelings unlike anything else has had the potential to. This is the permission slip to feel the feels - good ones, bad ones, all of them. If you’re someone who ghosts negative emotions, this is an opportunity to see them as a vital part of your process and wholeness. This is the energy of breakthrough and healing that comes when we allow ourselves the full spectrum of ‘feeling’ - even if it’s uncomfortable. This is the true freedom and liberation we experience when we no more have to run away from our feelings and we can finally let go of our illusions, cycles, addictions, and unhealthy coping mechanisms.
